David Orlowsky

David Orlowsky is internationally renowned for his captivating and expressive clarinet playing. He is now recognized worldwide as one of the leading interpreters of the clarinet repertoire from Mozartand Golijov to klezmer music. He has released nine albums for Sony and Warner Classics and has received several ECHO KLASSIK and OPUS KLASSIK Awards. His compositions are published worldwide by Schott Musik/Advance Music, and his music books are not only a bestseller among music students. Born in Tübingen in 1981, he studied classical clarinet with Prof. Manfred Lindner at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and with Charles Neidich in Essen and with Charles Neidich and Ayako Oshima at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Today, he lives in Berlin.
