Oksana Lyniv

Conductor

After debuting in European and international countries, Oksana Lyniv has become one of the most famous women in her field. In 2021 – after 145 years, the conductor opened the Bayreuth Festival history – she was the first woman to open Richard Wagner’s »Der fliegende Holländer« on the podium. Since 2022 Lyniv is the general music director of the Teatro Communale di Bologna. From 2017-to 2020, she served as principal conductor of the Opera Graz and the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to her international engagements, the conductor also founded the LvivMozArt Festival in the Ukrainian Lviv, Ukraine, and the Youth symphony orchestra of Ukraine / YsOU, of which she is artistic director.
