Mandel

Ring

Quartett

Dmitry Shostakovich left us a considerable musical legacy which reflects with moving immediacy the upheavals which marked his lifetime. Today, our society is facing similarly extreme transformations;  Shostakovich's works have not seemed so relevant for a long time. The Mandelring Quartet is distinguished by its expressiveness and phenomenal homogeneity. These four individualists are united by the common aspiration always to seek the quintessence of the music. This entails, on the one hand, keen research into the structure and formation of a work, and on the other the desire to live with the music through all the senses.
