Lately, Ilka Seifert has developed mainly installative and/or immersive concert formats. She recently was a guest in Leipzig, Bonn and Istanbul with the concert installation »Clara im Rückspiegel«. In 2021 she worked for the TRANSIENT Impulse Festival at various locations in the Eifel and for the interactive concert performance LICHT, which premiered in Leipzig in August, as well as »Tafelmusik« for the Kölner Philharmonie.

From 1993-1999 she was director and dramaturg of the Neuköllner Oper Berlin, from 1999-2006 dramaturg at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, and from 2011-2014 curator for the Sophiensaele Berlin. Since 2006 she has worked internationally as a freelance dramaturge and concert designer for a wide variety of opera houses, concert halls and festivals, ensembles and event organisers.
