The Norwegian baritone Johannes Weisser received his vocal training at the Conservatory and the Royal Danish Academy of Opera in Copenhagen and finally made his debut at the Oslo Opera and the Komische Oper Berlin in 2004. Since then he has performed on many stages in Europe and Asia. He regularly performs with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Philharmonie de Paris and the Kölner Philharmonie, among others, and most recently toured Europe with Johann Sebastian Bach's »St Matthew Passion«. Weisser has already appeared with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and René Jacobs several times, for example for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's »Don Giovanni« and Ludwig van Beethoven's »Missa Solemnis«. This outstandig Mass has not only been available as a CD recording on harmonia mundi since the beginning of 2021, but can also be heard at the Ludwigsburg Festival in 2022.
