The lyric baritone from Belarus completed his training at the Belarusian State Academy of Music in Minsk and has mainly conquered European stages since. Past and future engagements take Ilya Silchukou to the Opera La Monnaie Bruxelles,Theatre du Capitole de Toulouse, the Opéra National de Montpellier, Oper Frankfurt, Teatro dell'opera di Roma and also to Bratislava, Bregenz, Linz, Tallinn, Trieste, Tel Aviv and many other cities. Silchukou has won numerous prizes at prestigious competitions and has worked closely with Lawrence Foster, Bruno Campanella, Eri Klas, Hansjörg Albrecht, Myron Michailidis, Sesto Quatrini, Christopher Franklin and Andrey Yurkevich, among others.
