Hans-Christoph Rademann

Conductor

Conductor Hans-Christoph Rademann is an internationally sought-after interpreter with a broad repertoire ranging from the rediscovery of early music to the premiere of contemporary works. Born in Dresden, he grew up in Schwarzenberg in the Ore Mountains in a cantorial family. He was a singer in the famous Dresden Kreuzchor and studied choral and orchestral conducting at the Dresden Musikhochschule. Shortly after beginning his studies, he founded the Dresdner Kammerchor and led it to international fame. Since 2013 Rademann has also conducted the International Bach Academy Stuttgart and its ensemble, the Gaechinger Cantorey. In addition, he has regular collaborations with ensembles such as the Nederlandse Bachvereniging, the Freiburger Barockorchester and the Sinfonieorchester Basel. He has been awarded the Art Prize of the City of Dresden, the Heinrich Schütz Prize and the European Church Music Prize for his artistic work.
