Even as a child, Sebastian Klinger »always felt drawn to the low notes« and wanted to learn the double bass or tuba. At the age of six, however, he chose the cello. Luckily, otherwise, he would not be the first solo cellist in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra today, and we would not be able to experience him in the Alte Pfarr. With a matinee, the outstanding musician invites us into his Bach world for a contemplative, dreamy and highly virtuoso morning and presents three of six cello suites - the supreme discipline within Bach's solo cello works, for the recording of which he was awarded a »Diapason d'Or«.
