17 Goals Camp

An open Space for exchange, participation and listening for Ludwigsburg

In the first two years, due to the pandemic, we could only implement a few of our plans due to the pandemic. Then, in 2021, we initiated a future dialogue with the city of Ludwigsburg. The following year, we set up a »17 Goals Space« in our festival centre to encourage exchange and discussion of the 17 sustainability goals.

We developed this space further and expanded it into a »17 Goals Camp« in 2023. With this, we wanted to keep our promise to create an open space for exchange, participation, and collaboration with the to create an open space for dialogue, participation.

A diverse program shaped by the urban society

Everyone could get involved and help shape the camp: Based on a bar camp format, we invited Ludwigsburg initiatives and citizens to present themselves and their work and think about how we can support the creation of equality in education, gender and gender equality, human rights and work for a sustainable and secure future.

With numerous initiatives, actors and artists responding with proposals for workshops, lectures and interventions, the overwhelming response put together an extraordinary programme for the »17 Ziele Camp« in the Kunstzentrum Karlskaserne.

Interviews with the artists

The interview series »What do we want to move?« on our Digital Stage gives an impression of the workshops.

Also, the introductory event »Unmapping Time« with Aleida and Jan Assmann, Tilman Hecker and Eugene Yiu Nam Cheung searched for and found compelling answers to the questions, as did the lectures by Werner Spec, Ralf Weiß, Armin Massing and Ludger Engels.

In the daily interactive workshop »The Delphic cube« the participants searched for answers together; numerous Ludwigsburg initiatives have presented their work and so much more; an overview of the whole Program and all participants can be found in the Program.
