Sasha Waltz was honored by the jury »for her international charisma, her commitment to the structures of the independent dance scene and, above all, for her artistically unique and genre-spanning oeuvre« with the most important German prize for dance.
The renowned choreographer, who with her company Sasha Waltz & Guests has been closely associated with the Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele for years, is also showing one of her latest works in the current 2024 season: «Beethoven 7« combines Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony with a first part in which the company performs to the live electronic sounds of »Freiheit/Extasis« by composer and musician Diego Noguera.
Dance enthusiasts can also take part in the workshop «In C Community« under the guidance of dancers from the company to gain insights into the choreography »In C« by Sasha Waltz. As part of the workshops, we invite you to get to know the concept and try out the various movements in a playful way.
